Handley Cellars winemaker has been making wine since the '70's! And, believe us, SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE IS DOING!! Award winning Pinot Noir's, Gewurtztriminer, Viognier, Chardonnay and Zin's, plus -- her passion -- a Brut Rose that is devine! The tasting room staff know their stuff and treat you like royalty! What a find!

Stopped on our way to Mendocino, and was happy we chose this winery to take a break. The antiques were amazing, the staff friendly (& helpful - she gave me Ginger candy for my naseua) and the wine was exceptional. Just opened a bottle tonight and it reminded me how awesome this winery is!

Great place to taste wine on the way to the Mendocino Coast. Quite enjoyable drive through the Anderson Valley during the late summer viewing all the vineyards, redwood forest, then the beautiful coastline.

Handley Cellars is a standout in a valley that has a number of excellent wineries. All of their wines are beautifully made, with clean flavors and nice balance. The tasting room has a unique display of folk art from around the world, a legacy from the winemaker's father. Milla Handley is kind of a legend in her own right –... More

Only one other time have we found a winery where we like both their whites and their reds. Friendly, informative staff, relaxed atmosphere. Joined the wine club as we found so many wines to purchase. We typically don't care for pinot noir but theirs is delicious. Nice sparkling wine too.

I've always loved visiting the Anderson Valley. I think the overall quality of the wines from this region is excellent. Handley wines are great and the prices are reasonable. The tasting room staff is friendly and helpful. The patio is a great picnic spot when the weather permits...

It's hard to go wrong when wine-tasting in Anderson Valley. Handley is no exception. The views are wonderful, the atmosphere is friendly, and there is some cool "primitive art" in the tasting room. If you have a couple of days to sip wine, put Handley on your list of cellars to hit.

Handley Winery is our favorite if you want to feel like you are a welcome guest. Two years ago the Handley sauvigon blanc was recommended at The Ledford House restaurant in Albion so we stopped at the winery on our way back home since we enjoyed it. We also think their Pinot Noirs are fantastic! We joined the wine club... More

While sipping a 2006 Handley Cellars Chardonnay Anderson Valley I need to share my tasting experience at their winery on Hwy 128 in Philo. It was as refreshing as their Chardonnay!! No nonsense, non-snob, no telling my wife and me what we SHOULD like or how and which wines we SHOULD taste but leaving it all up to us, showing... More
