Ruth Hardy Park is really a neighborhood park in "old" Palm Springs. Surrounded by a lot of nice mid-century homes as well as several estate type properties, it's a great place to relax on a hot Palm Springs day. There are great tennis courts and on the northwest corner of that block, there's a great little mini-park with a fitness... More

We were in PS during a very busy annual event. Took a walk to Ruth Hardy park one morning since we were still on East Coast time. Loved it. Peaceful and quiet. Small but nice location. Close to hotels if you have children who want to access a playground. Lots of dogs and walkers for early in the morning. More

We have enjoyed playing tennis on the courts here (keeping in mind that half of the courts are devoted to youth tennis lessons from 3 to 4:30 on weekdays - and who doesn't appreciate a community that values their young folks?), and had a wonderful time on the playground with our granddaughter, who enjoyed all the slides and the sand... This place used to be off limits to dogs and the families that picnicked here tended to leave garbage strewn everywhere. I don't know what happened to change this but dogs are now welcome on leash and the messy families seem to have gone elsewhere. The park is well maintained, the dog-users are following the rules (mostly - did see... More

The wind storm took a few trees, but you'd never know it. This immaculate park is a gem. Eight tennis courts, but get there REALLY early or you'll have to wait. More
