We found a western coachwhip right off the bat. Awesome find. Then we saw a red diamond rattler under a rock. Lots of lizards, nice trail but it is long and hot. Best to do first thing in the morning and bring lots of water. The desert is unforgiving.

Wow, what a spectacular hike and with only slight difficulty. Easy for most of the way with only a few small sections I would call moderate. Trail is well marked and easy to follow. A creek runs through the canyon giving the entire trail an Oasis like feel. I highly recommend this for families or couples. We went during on... More

Loved the 4 mile hike...took two hours and 15 minutes...one part gets a little tough but we made it. The falls at the end is little but the hike is lots of fun.

Do not like being charged for hiking as the whole concept is alien to me BUT this is a great hike and the charge per car not too high. The hike is listed as moderate but some parts are pretty tricky and we saw many older people who I wondered why they were on this hike. I did not like... More

If you like to hike in the desert, I highly recommend Murray Canyon. There are multiple trails for all sizes and ages. You can even bring your dog. The views of the desert down below are incredible.

Visited few days ago. Very nice walk. Takes about 2 hours round trip at the leisure pace. Falls although not very big are nice to see.

Easy access to trailhead. Walk through beautiful, stark desert scenery, and suddenly, there is a clump of palms, and then another, and another! It was gorgeous. Very dry this time of year. Will try again in Spring.

Beautiful hike. Gorgeous scenery. It's definitely snake territory, so it was a little sketchy, but I didn't see any wildlife of any sort.
