We just completed our Desert Adventure with our Naturalist Guide, Tom Mennig, to the San Andreas Fault. We had a wonderful time! Tom was very informative, humerous with this narration. We learned so much and it was a very worthwhile experience. We would recommend this tour to our friends and especially 'Tom' as their naturalist guide.

I helped to organize a "Desert Adventure Tour" for a group of 25 Docents from The Living Desert. This is a group of people who have been extensively trained in the geology, history, flora, and fauna of our Coachella Valley Desert. Our expert guide - "Mitch" - shared his knowledge in a fascinating non-stop narrative that showed all of us...

My husband and I booked the Sunset Tour of San Andreas Fault. It ended up just being the two of us which was great - a private tour! Eric was our guide and he was full of information. I ask A LOT of questions and he always had answers and more information to provide than I expected. You learn a...

Two friends and I took a 3 hour tour of the San Andreas fault with our Naturalist Guide Carlos Salas late last afternoon. Carlos, a young Naturalist was very knowledgable and his enthusiasm
for the history of how the desert, and mountains were formed over thousands of years made the landscape come alive. We learned how the Cahuilla people inhabited...

I highly recommend the 3 hour San Andreas Jeep Tour for young children as it is highly educational, only requires mild walking/hiking to see the sights, and is engaging. My daughters liked the panning for gold. I enjoyed the education about the fault and the unique rock formations. Our guide Russ was extremely knowledgeable and passionate which is infectious. Go...

We had a great time on this tour of the desert. There's a lot of stuff out there in what appears to be a wasteland.

You will visit a (reconstructed) Indian village and learn how the Cahuilla Indians lived for hundreds of years. You also...

Eric, our guide was fantastic; what a knowledgeable individual. He was well versed in the desert, history, geology and the flora and fauna of the desert. We were all adults on our tour but children would find it very fascinating. We have been in the desert for the season for many years and can't believe we waited so long to...

I've lived in Palm Springs for seven years and most of that time I've been hearing how wonderful "the red jeep tours" are. Last weekend I went on a great outing with my colleagues from The Living Desert and was blown away. Our guide Mitch was an encyclopedia! Fascinating experience! Hiking up a short narrow canyon and steadying myself with...
