So we were staying in Oxnard and wanted to visit some wineries. It was Tuesday so it was slim pickings. We decided to go to Herzog. Following our mapquest instructions, we thought it was wrong. The outside of the building looks like an office and it is located in a commercial area. Once we walked in though, it was a... More

I had never been to a winery that made kosher wine so the tour was particularly interesting as she pointed out which areas were limited to certain workers. Wine was okay. I did buy a dessert wine. Large retail area. Restaurants seemed popular place but I had no plans to eat there so I continued on to other places.

We had reservations at the restaurant there but came a little early so took the "self guided tour" upstairs. Well written story about the family and the wine making process. Didn't do any tastings but the store is lovely and nicely kept up.

We took our daughter and her friend for some wine tasting and lunch. The cost 8 tastings was $10.00 per person for our group of 4. We purchased 4 bottles of wine so the $40.00 tasting fees were waived. We then had lunch Tierra Sur located at the wine cellars. Excellent fish tacos and juicy burgers. They even brought a... More

We loved talking to the staff there. They were helpful, and never rushed us. They offered us suggestions, and gave us good tips. They were very informative, and we ended up joining their wine club.

Whether you're looking for a delicious meal or a kosher delicious meal, you must visit the Herzog Wine Cellars. The wine is wonderful, and the tasting is pretty inexpensive. Pick a wine you like and take it into the beautiful dining room. The chef is spectacular, and the menu changes every meal. They have a really nice room fro private... More

We had a nice quick visit at Herzog. Sampled some wines and bought chocolates for the kids.

Herzog Wine Cellars, 3201 Camino Del Sol Oxnard 93030. Open 10:30-x. The tasting fee is $6 for 4 tastes of the wines available on that day (varies). The facility is in an 80,000 sq. ft. building. No one was in the tasting room, so we checked with the lady at the entry. She indicated someone would be there soon, and... More

Very pretty tasting room, good service but the wines failed to impress, sorry to say.

Herzog's wine tasting room is a bit out of the way, but worth the trip. Though it's in an industrial park, it still has great wines if not great views ... but what the hell do you go there for? Right -- the wine. The staff is very knowledgeable and clearly enjoy their work. If you've got time, take meal... More
