THe Lido is an upscale venue for movie watching and the audience is mostly adult so you do not have the noise of younger persons and the folks who bring their babies to the theater More

This small theatre, located on the Newport Pennisula, has a nice ambiance, and features both current popular movies with some artsy, indie films thrown in the mix. More

They happened to be playing the movie we wanted to see. Old fashioned as in someone is only in the ticket booth shortly before a movie is going to start. Fun to see the old school theater designs. More

This place has history and charm. The ladies room, compliments of Betty Davis, is more than your average chain theatre bathroom. They have a balcony - tons of fun for kids and adults alike! It is just a fun place to go rather than the same average movie theatre. Screen size is decent and you won't be giving up any... More

The Lido is a wonderful venue. It is full of charm and nostalgia. According to their website: "The Lido Theatre was opened in 1938, and the first film it played was Bette Davis in "Jezebel". The reason for that was that Davis lived nearby in Corona Del Mar and traveled by the site daily. Upon stopping onsite, she told the... More
