we love going to james cole winery at the foot of the silverado trail just across from oak knoll rd. the cabs and malbec are truly excellent and if you can snag a taste of the 2005 cab, you will get some lovely hints of eucalyptus in your taste buds as well. the wine tasting experience is also a lot...

Went to James Cole based on a recomendation from a friend in Nashville. Our group arrived late in the afternoon on a Friday and were immediately welcomed by Lisa at the tasting bar. The Cab is absolutely sublime. I have tasted wines all over NY state (Finger Lakes and Long Island) and California (Napa/Sonoma and Temecula), and I would have to say this is the best wine I have ever had. As I told Ben the tasting room director, "its like drinking a silk sheet".
