My family wanted me to tell you Disneyland was SO much better, but then that would be lying. The beauty of untouched Morro Bay is exquisite, and the location cannot be beaten. Bird- watching is a favorite, and watching for wildlife keeps kids entertained, so you don't have to listen to " I want a juice box" repetitively. Black Hill,... More

Lots of parking, great view of Morro Rock, and view of otters cavorting. You can walk all the way from Morro Bay to Cayucos on the broad, sandy beach.

I haven't even left this place yet but just wanted to submit my review early. I am here for 3 days on full hookups with my camper van. The park is beautiful, the smell of eucalyptus hits you every time you step outside your RV. Sites are nicely spaced with trees and shading. Each site has it's own stone grill... More

Morro Bay is one of California's great treasures. It is unique and beautiful. I've been there when the weather was gray and overcast and when it’s been sunny and clear. In either case, it is a beautiful place to see. You can take a hike or go jogging along the many trails or just take in the natural beauty. At... More

The long way is about three miles from the bottom to the 650 foot summit. For us older folks we drive up to a small parking lot where you can complete the last section (steep) of the trail. From the top you can see views of the Morro Rock Estuary, Cabrillo Park and Montana De Oro State Park. It is... More

My husband and I camped here for 5 nights in March and loved the experience. (So did our two dogs.) The location is great between an estuary (lots of birds), a marina, and a golf course. We were very impressed with how well the park was run, and the cleanliness of the bathrooms and showers. A great place to camp!

Just a great place to visit for a couple or a family. The fall and spring are the best months with no fog..

Very well done museum and driving around the wetlands was like being in an aviary - so many different birds

This is a "must do" for Morro Bay! Black Hill is a volcanic plug, just like Morro Rock. It is located within the State Park. Access is through the golf course. Drive into the golf course and when you get to the fork in the road, just past the clubhouse, go left to drive up to the small parking lot.... More

The weather in Morro Bay is typically quite cold, and the water is freeeeezing. The beach is a good place to walk but not ideal to set up camp for the day. There are a LOT of sandflies and sea debris along the beach. The park allows dogs, but beware of many people who illegally have their dogs off-leash. It... More
