Sunset has an annual event showcase their advertisers, craft booths, wine, food, and California tourism. They also have demonstrations and give attendees an opportunity to tour their gardens. This is an event that is well worth the effort and admission to attend.

Visit one of their open houses to get great cooking demonstrations and gardening advice.

Always look forward to the annual open house of Sunset Celebration and this year was as terrific as ever. Wandering around the grounds and seeing the creativity of people is amazing. There were lots of snacks available. Looking forward to going again next year.

Having been long time subscribers to Sunset Magazine, we've always talked about going to the gardens and finally made it down there. We had almost the exact experience as the folks from Australia. Sunset's lovely gardens give visitors plenty of ideas to take home. Call ahead to find out if anything is happening in the demonstration kitchens.

Very "California". I'd recommend taking friends from out of state there. Lots to see, and often something special going on. Lovely grounds and buildings.

The gardens are beautiful,especially this time of year,springtime,but theres always something in bloom throughout the year

Go to Sunset Magazine bldg on south side of Willow. Must go thru big wood doors. Kids loved the cactus garden "jungle." Test garden was not planted at the time.

If you are going to be in the area in May, check their schedule and try to make it to their open house. It has been an explosion of sound, color, smells and food the last few times we've gone. Some demonstration booths but, the food booths are our favorite (go figure).
