This is my favorite beach in all of La Jolla. If one wants a true flavor of historical beach community and spectacular views and surfers doing there thing. You won't find any businesses within a couple of blocks so pack it in and please pack it out. Keep our beach clean and beautiful for all.

When you need a place to see a great sunset, go to the Windansea beach. Take a seat on one of the rocks, and enjoy. There will be many people there, be sure to leave enough time to find street parking and walk down to the beach.

Wind and Sea is a nice open beach which is clean. No life guards in the our area. Not good for bike riding.

I went to Windansea beach with my dog Jackson. This is one of the nicest beaches on the planet! Low tide is really cool, check the charts!

This beach is the site where a group of counter-culture surfers met in the early 1960's, and inspired Wolfe's short story. It is beautiful and historic and refreshingly off the well worn path of bigger beaches in the area. There are still lots of surfers there and the place seems lost in time.

Rocky coast with lots of surfers enjoying the rolling waves. Tidal pools at low tide had lots of marine life.

It's not just the beach but all the unusual characters there.

Great waves, great fun, gnarly locals. Prime spot, not for beginners, kooks, tourists renting boards. Show respect for the locals, and you might catch a wave.
