This was an ideal tour/tasting. You were allowed to sample the fresh strawberries in the garden, as they are completely organic. Collin and Katie are knowledgeable and did a fantastic job, and the wine is superb!

This tasting room was so delightful. The wines were great and the service was wonderful! Such nice, friendly people that work there! I felt like I was sitting on my own back porch here. They have nice gardens and a pizza oven in the garden that I hear they use in the summer to give to tasters! :-)
My partner and I went to Healdsburg for the a long weekend and went to a good number of wineries in the area during that time. I would have to say that without qualification, Medlock Ames was the least fun and least impressive of all the wineries. I don't say that based on taste (because, of course, all that is...

Loved the place, very earthy and organic style! we grabbed some sandwiches and ate them there, outdoors with a great bottle of wine, it was just delightful!
Medlock Ames looks like it was put together by Sunset Magazine and Dwell. The Alexander Valley tasting room is gorgeous. The tasting is slightly expensive for the Sonoma area, but well worth it for the thought put into the food and wine pairing.
The neighboring bar is a great speak-easy type room that seems like the place to be after...

About in the middle of the Alexander Valley. Completely organic sustainable farming. Good wine – we brought home some of their cabernet sauvignon. Owners bought the century-old local country store / gas station and converted it into their tasting room, but retained the bar which opens for cocktails at 5 (Alexander Valley Bar)! They converted the old store into an...

Unbelievable! We had a private event after regular tasting hours. The wood-fired pizzas made and baked right there in the outdoor oven were such a hit - our guests are still talking about them. Great to work with. Lovely setting. Excellent wine.
If you are looking to ease gently into your visit to wine country, this is a great place to start. Friendly, easy going, great wine, nice snacks.
of a fascinating story that draws you into the vision the founders are creating for all of us to share. Quite an inspiring story, which when matched with excellent wine, makes for a truly enriching experience. Bravo to Medlock, Ames and their inspired staff!
