If you love Zinfandel this is the place to go! The vineyards are beautiful and so it's the architecture of their tasting room building which dates back to 1904 and survived the 1906 earthquake. Great place for wines and gifts. A must on your Sonoma visit! More

Stopped here during the Winter Wineland event. Wonderful old building with a lot of history and a nice picnic area. The tasting room is large with a long bar for wine tasting. They have a large selection of food products for sale, different types of olive oil, salad dressings, and vinegars to name a few. The staff were friendly but sadly... More

This was our check-in for the Wine Road weekend in November. It was a great start to the day. The wines were all wonderful (we prefer the cabernet) and we left with a few bottles of wine, the best zinfandel infused dark chocolate truffles! Atmosphere isbeautiful and the people are friendly. Check it out! More

Accepts Ticket to the Wine Road, making it much more appealing than paying for the tasting. Layout of wine tasting room makes it feel crowded if more than 4 guests are there. No longer offers samples of mustards, eliminating the major reason to visit. Wines and service staff are average, at best. If you do not have the Ticket to... More

Stopped on our way back from the ocean and several other vineyards. The building is quite eye catching and has a very nice area around it. Did the tasting of their wines but they were just so, so. Got a lot of information from the pourer, who took a little time to warm up to but once he started talking... More

Lovely grounds, kind staff but nothing to tour and I found the wine to be nearly undrinkable (sad to realize after paying a hefty tasting fee). It was as though it was overprocessed in some way, not sure why. Visit Moshin Vineyards or Thomas George instead - wonderful wines! More

I've just returned to Seattle from a visit to San Francisco and a wonderful adventure to the Russian River Valley. Working in the restaurant industry in Seattle I have gained a decent exposure to the wines of Washington, Oregon, and the rest of the world, but I have not explored California at all. We decide to skip the madness of... More

My boyfriend and I just returned from an amazing tour of Sonoma and the beautiful wineries along the Russian River, and Hop Kiln was by far our favorite spot. We were given a full tour of the winery and I must say, they put more heart and soul into making wine then words can even articulate. Their passion and love... More
