Garin and Dry Creek are two regional parks that are next to each other. There are multiple hiking trails, the ones in Garin has little shade, and many Dry Creek trails have shade. Parking at Dry Creek is free (trailhead off Mission Blvd). Garin charges for parking when booth is manned, and is at a higher elevation. Tolman Peak in... More

This is a wonderful place to hike and for views. Pick up or download a map of the trails from the East Bay Parks website. I used to go here weekly to hike for exercise and to contemplate. In the winter when it rains the hills are beautifully green. After heavy rains, however, be careful on the trails as they... More

Behind Kite Hill & further up the hill is a memorial for a large place crash. Although I've never visited it, it's something that intrigues me & I plan to visit it. Most of the time, I've been a volunteer here for Girl Scout Day Camp & it's been tons of fun in a great outdoor setting.

If your looking for some place quiet and peaceful to spend quality time with family or friends this is the place to be! Great to go walking or hanging out at one of the many picnic tables. Reasonably clean restrooms - they could 've been better.

Beautiful little creek running through the middle of this lovely park. Tucked away in an average neighborhood, you come to a Garin Park and see how the bay area used to be before housing developments. Nice afternoon getaway.
