Fun area to hike in. Would love to go kayaking here...hopefully next time. Hopefully it will be when weather is a little warmer!
Great experience.....rent kayak through email@example.com,,,,$35 for 2hrs....park car on north side of the river and walk across highway 1 to dirt road that leads down to the river....kayaks and canoes parked there during the summer months....can be chilly....take a ski cap.....gloves and wind breaker just in case.
This campground was absolutely wonderful for a family weekend getaway. The campground is set along the Gualala river and is surrounded by old redwood trees. Slightly sheltered from the weather and nice open shoreline. Great area to take your dog. Should have dog on leash but there are lots of them running around under voice control.
