Keep in mind, this a private operation. One family for many years. It is amazinf it is still here. I very easily could have been bulldozed under. Part of it still might. Our guide was a family member who did a great job. She had a passion for preserving this place. It is hard to imagine that one man dug...

This was such a wonderful unique place to visit. Historical and yet for the creator so far ahead of his time. The vision this man had was incredible and the amount of work and dedication to that vision was impressive. It is still family owned and BRAVO to that family for allowing us to see something that might have been...

Very interesting Italian man that created it. His family still oversees running it, he has passed on sometime ago. I have never seen any place like this before, very cool. Underground fruit trees too!!!!

This is a great Hidden Treasure that gives a glimpse into the past of Fresno and the imagination of some of it's founders!
Not much sightseeing to do, so we decided to check this out. $15 for an hour tour. An interesting tour, but overpriced. Good way to beat the heat and kill some time.
The gardens were amazing, it's hard to describe you just have to see it. Even more incredible was that the tunnels were all dug by hand by a very visionary man. Our tour guide was very good, she had a lot of stories. Definitely something you wouldn't see every day.
A gem of a tour that is right off Hwy 99! Fascinating history and story of how Forestiere dug this underground resort/garden out of hardpan! Am glad that the family has preserved this one of a kind place and has opened it up for visitors to enjoy.
Not much from the street, but this fabulous underground, beautifully lighted home was a created by a man well beyond his time .... genius....great presentation and tour!
