My husband and I happened upon Mitchell Caverns while returning from a weekend trip to the river. We found it amazing that someone would. 1)decide to settle out in the middle of absolutely nowhere and, 2) how in the world does someone find something as amazing as the caverns without current technology??? We left the Avi Casino in the morning and took the old Mohave Trail west by jeep for a few hours and realized we can make the weekday 1:30 tour of Mitchel Caverns. If you are in the area Mitchell Caverns it is worth a visit. The State Police Lt. that gave the tour was knowledgeable with a little humor.... More
