Most people visit Bidwell and just go to One Mile. Take the time and go out past the golf couse and go to Upper Park's Salmon Hole and Bear Hole. Wear a pair of Tevas or old tennis shoes and spend the day out of the heat in cold water. More

Given to the City of Chico and has golf, baseball, swimming and kite flying areas. also soccer fields and natural trails...a GEM More

There are swimming wholes all over, fresh blackberries to eat, great bike paths, great horse back riding paths, beautiful trees and flower, nature, nature, and nature! Caper Acres is for kids. You will build memories that last a lifetime. This is one place that kids will remember. Giant cheese to climb on, dragons, crooked house, Humpty Dumpty sand box, .... Good for ages 2 to 12. More

I recently ran a 5k in the park. You will not find a more beautiful city park for any outdoor gathering. Over the years my family has hiked and biked throughout the park, it is family and dog friendly (upper park) and a real gem for Chico and California in general. Recently visited here this past Easter weekend. I can't say enough good things about this beautiful park. This is not just a park to visit when one is in Chico, but a destination in itself. One of the largest and most beautiful city parks in the United States with something to offer everyone. I especially love biking through this park.... More

If you visit Chico, you must bike or walk or at least drive through this park which is one of the largest municipal parks in the country. It has special history, which really begins with a tour of Bidwell Mansion... home of the town's founders. In summer, Bidwell park is a great place to cool off... at One Mile swim... More

Bidwell park is one of the great city parks in the US. Streams, trees, bike paths and a swimming hole make it a great place to visit and spend time in. More
