Right along the American River, not too far from downtown Sacramento, this is a lovely spot for a hike and an interpretive center visit. More

Go early in the day and you will likely see deer, turkeys, cormorants, red tail hawks, Canada geese, hares, caterpillars. Observe the River and skip a few rocks. Wonderful museum for children with living animals and interactive displays. Thank you all who work there. My grand son and I love it there. More
