Great wine and beautiful grounds,. tasting room is a hacienda-type building with Spanish/Mexican type vintage repo artifacts, as well as dvds/books for sale. But what I really enjoy is the grounds, with native plantings, very "mission-esque", with tables set out for sipping and noshing. The tastings come with a fee- $15-25 IIRC. But you get 5-6 glasses of good pours... More

It was raining and we arrived a few minutes before they hung out their 'open' sign. We were placed at a table, were totally ignored by the staff for at least 20 minutes--no menus, no water, no specials described--and continued to be treated like 'step children' throughout the entire lunch. We will not revisit and we are LOUD locals.

Right around the corner from the Corkscrew restaurant is Georis winery's tasting room. Georis does a really good job with premium and moderate Bordeaux-style wines (Merlot, Cab, Cab Franc), especially the merlots. I am especially fond of their super-premium Clos des Moutons (sheep pen). One can either enjoy a sit-down tasting on the Georis patio, or buy a bottle and... More

The staff is warm and welcoming, and the wines are excellent. They serve complimentary hors d'oeuvres when you purchase a wine tasting. Their wood-fired pizza is outstanding!

When Monterey, PG, or even by-the-sea is socked-in with overcast... this little retreat always seems to have the sunshine. Georis is great place to relax with friends, have conversation, enjoy the great apps and brick-oven pizzas, the chipping lovebirds, and last but not least enjoy a couple of fine tasting flights! We enjoy Georis so much, we became members and... More

One of our favorite getaways to Carmel Valley. Reminiscent of wine-tasting in Napa in the 1980s. Relaxing, friendly ambiance. Liked it so much we became wine club members.

My husband and I came in December to Georis. We were doing some wine tasting in the Carmel region. We usually do tastings in Napa but were very pleased with the quality of the wines. Georis is a lovely setting. Allen was our server and he was very knowledgeable and affable. He recommended we try the Merlot and we did... More

We had heard of the Georis Winery tasting room and the fabulous wines. Well , they were right. We spent the afternoon tasting wines from the different flights offered to us. These wines were offered as a everyday tasting and a Grand tasting. They each were served with a cheese plate and tasting notes. Our party totaly enjoyed the wines... More

This wine tasting room is very charming with it's beautifull gardens and ponds are a treat. The old adobe is unique and the decor authentic early California. We were received by a very friendly staff. The wine tasting is very different from the usual format of tasting rooms. Georis offers several flight selections, these are served with a complimentory cheese... More
