I love Carlsbad Village. It's quaint and charming with lots of beachy shops, good restaurants, etc. Try the Daily News Cafe... great breakfasts.
We walked around Carlsbad village and went through a few shops that were cute. It didn't take but about an hour and we saw everything.
Antiques, boutiques, bars & restuarants.....we frequently vacation in the village of Carlsbad and never tire of everything it has to offer. Plus - you have the "Coaster" train to take you all the way to downtown San Diego (the list of things to do there is unlimited) and up north to Oceanside and it's great pier.
Sweet village 1 block from the ocean. Got a delicious frozen coffee drink at Vinaka Cafe and had lunch at The Mediterranean Cafe, where you can sit in the pretty courtyard. This is a town I'll go back to!
Not many beachy restaurants with a casual atmosphere. The Pizza Port was good though. Shopping was unimpressive.
Lots of good restaurants, walk to the beach and walk to the coaster train station that runs from San Diego to Oceanside. Some nice shops, a few antique stores and art galleries.
