I can't think of many higher end kitchen-related things that you won't find here. They have a great selection, good quality, and fairly high prices. I'd save my purchases here for gifts and the occasional special item. The mundane things are cheaper at Bed, Bath, and Beyond.

I have been going to Fourth Street in Berkeley for the past 6 years on a near weekly basis. I often stop into Sur la Table for cooking supplies, gifts, ideas etc. But I have found that at that particular store the service has been getting worse over the years. When I buy a gift item as ask for it...
