Hasn't worked for years! Need someone to take care of it. Makes this town look and feel like it is dying. More

Last time I noticed, it was broken and wasn't reading the right temp. I was told it was stuck by lightning awhile back. Not sure if it's fixed yet or not. More

Town has grown since the other reviews but this icon is the same. As for a gas stop 4.30 a gallon is 90 cents higher than Barstow. Get out, look up, and say "damn it's hot but it is a dry heat".....! More

The old fashioned sort of little roadside attraction one might associate with the 1950's. Good place to stop for gas between Las Vegas and :LA More

Baker is a small town about 130 miles south west of Death Valley National Park and the last glimpse of civilisation before you get there. Here is the world tallest thermometer. It is 134 ft tall and it symobilses the highest temperature ever recorded in Death Valley 134 degrees. This is the US's highest temp and the world's second highest... More
