Hi, this spring we (4 in total) decided to visit Uganda/Ruanda. Well this is only half of the truth. In fact one of us was already down there. To be exact he was doing a social work for the green helmets in Kongo. After his social work 3 of us decided to visit him and do a round trip through... More

My husband and I had the fortune of visiting Bwindi to see the gorillas with APS in March 2012. From the start, our contact Edris was prompt and professional, and arranged our tour without hassle. Our driver/guide Daniel was lovely and knowledgeable about the area. We stayed at the community bandas (budget option) but were pleasantly surprised by the quality... More

We recently visited Uganda and had done a lot of research before hand on which safari company to use to visit the Gorillas in Bwindi. APS (particularly Edris our main contact) were very impressive in terms of prompt responses to emails, ability to cater a package to our needs and work to our timings. We were initially a bit nervous... More

In February 2012 I went on an 8-day Ugandan safari with African Pearl Safaris. They organized a wonderful trip which included chimp trekking in Kibale National Park, game drives and a boat cruise (Kazinga Channel) in Queen Elizabeth National Park, chimp trekking in Kyambura Gorge, game drives in Ishasha sector, and gorilla trekking in Bwindi. With less than one month... More

We have returned this week from a three week circular trip round Uganda. Right from the start the tour manager answered our queries swiftly and efficiently (in fact the only one of 5 safari companies that I mailed that replied) The trip itself was great and everything went according to plan. The places we stayed in were very nice -... More

At the end of my trip I was traveling alone and was determined to see the Gorillas. Daniel, my guide from African Pearl Safaris picked me in the morning and by noon we were half way to Bwindi. It also was clear to me at this point that I was getting ill (malaria). As soon as I told Daniel he... More

A very professional outfit. Massively appreciated all the advice whilst planning my trip. My guide/driver was the best - he made my trip! Cannot thank him enough for the experience I enjoyed. Uganda is simply phenomenal and Africa pearl will make sure you see it all! More

Somewhat nervous before we arrived on how this might go, all our concerns were laid to rest from the word go. Was a fantastic 8 day trip that Edris from APS planned perfectly. The highlight for us, apart from the obvious of the safari and the gorillas was our driver Sula. One of the worlds truly great people who went... More

I selected African Pearl based on reviews such as this. I have been to Africa many times and done safaris multiple times in East Africa and a number of countries in southern africa. African Pearl rates very high with me. The driver/guide Sulu did an excellent job. The Gorilla trek is much more difficult than advertized. Hire a porter to... More

I actually visited in 12/09, and Sula was my driver. I chose African Pearl because of Phiona, who arrenged all tour details and was an outstanding communicator. This is an amazing country, with various opportunities to trek (and in the sanctuary, more closely contact) chimpanzees, see big game, and trek gorillas, as well as see a beautiful and exotic countryside....
