Look at some of the very good carvings and the mosaics are also stunning. If you wait a while you can have this place to yourself and have a great time.

A ways into the city of Petra is the Church, with some well-preserved mosaics. Interesting and unique addition to the overall site
We arrived just as some workmen were finishing working on the mosaics in the aisles of the church. They were exquisite. The man working on them took the trouble to show us what they were doing and explain the art of restoration to us.
