Climbing the steps to the high place was hard work but certainly worth it. Sadly there was no one else there so we worried about the local economy More

lots of stairs to get to the high place. Beautiful view and beautiful rock at the top. Leave 1.5-2 hours for this from the bottom of the monestary stairs back to the treasury. its a great hike! More

You need to be very fit to climb such high place in Petra. Advisable to bring sufficient water. Its good is your climb has the sun from your back especially during climbing down to the other side (its the desert!) All the Bedoiuns can speak English! More

We attempted to go down the other way but after one false attempt that required ascending more steps... More

This is a great walk -we did it on our first day and enjoyed the views and getting away from the crowds and dust down below. Take lots of water and explore. More
