Desert Eco Tours hands you over to Jordan Experience at the Jordan border. We opted for the overnight (they pick you up at your hotel in Eilat, get you over the border, bus you to Petra, 4 hour guided tour of Petra (a good orientation), and then we had the whole next day to tour Petra on our own). We... More

We took the one day trip to Petra (I recommend doing 2 - 4 days to see all of this amazing site and take in Wadi Ram as well). I booked this tour pretty much at the last minute via the internet while in Tel Aviv. There were no problems what so ever. The staff was very helpful, especially Liz.... More

Excellent service, delivered as promised. Smooth operation, David , Chirik , Mustafa and Muhammad were very professional. Note: Eilat is a free and happy place, with many excellent entertainment options Jordan is a somber/islamic/male dominated but very exotic and Petra in the early morning is fantastic with the help of donkeys and other animal transport. Both have great food.

This company was spectacular. Every detail was perfect. We were on a group tour earlier on our trip and several members booked with another operator. When we saw the reviews on Trip Advisor for Desert Eco Tours we decided to contact them. What a great move. Firstly our contact at the company, David, was very responsive to our every question.... Desert Eco tours was very responsible and responsive throughout. Desert Eco has a connection to a Jordanian tour operator that fulfills the mandate. The car and driver was more than satisfactory (a new SUV and friendly driver). We stopped for lunch in Aqaba at a traditional restaurant (we declined a stop at McDonalds) which was just fine. However, the 1/2... More

We spent 3 days in Jordan, focusing on Petra, Wadi El Burbeita, and Wadi Rum. It was an incredibly beautiful, informed, adventurous, and well organized experience on all levels. Everything flowed as planned and on time. The Jordanian counter-parts provided the guides, the accommodations, and everything else. If you get the chance, ask for Ali to be your wilderness guide.... We took a 3 day tour Originating in Southern Israel. 1st day into Petra Jordan- Amazing Landscape and guide was full of information. The border crossing went easily as they excorted us across. Later that evening we crossed out of Jordan, thru Israel and into Egypt. This proved to be a bit more combersome but worth it. We then had... More

We had booked a 2-day Petra and Wadi Rum tour. We had an issue and couldn't make it for our early pickup on the day of the tour, so we called early on the day of the tour and cancelled. Desert Eco went out of their way to help us make the best of the tour by providing drivers that... More

On our short visit we managed to get a very well planned trip to Jordan. Although we only had the oroginal request for the tour and the submiited price, and no vouchers, all was planned and went very smoothly. We were advised to stay the night before the trip in Aqaba, as it is cheaper than Eilat, and we had a... More

I would highly recommend using Desert Eco Tours for travel to Petra. I am a woman who was traveling by myself and was a little nervous about crossing the border into Jordan. DET arranged for me to be picked up at the airport and driven to the Israel border. There, I was met with a guide who escorted me through... More
