Great views and photographic opportunity! Don't miss it! When finished eat at Gotohan sa Cagsawa! Excellent food. Sinigang and the Laing was awesome! While you are at it get a chili guyabano shake! Day was hot enough! But that shake is to die for! A+++. Bicol region is awesome. Took a jeepney to the entrance and trike p20 (I am... More

From Daraga, it's an 8 peso fare to the ruins. You may choose to walk the short length (not more than 15 minutes walk by average pace) between the entrance to cagsaua park or take a trike. The view is nice with good information plastered along the walls of the remaining bell church regarding the church's tragic past. TIP: for... More

View the ruins with the majestic Mayon Volcano as background. Lots of souvenir items sold at affordable prices. About 30-40 minutes from the airport.

you see people from all walks of life visiting a great historical place in Albay. There is no other church in the Philippines with such a history of tragedy due to the eruption of Mt. Mayon that has become one or the major tourist must see in Albay other than the beautiful places to explore in the province. With the... More

Entrance fee was 10pesos per person plus 10pesos parking if u park inside the gates. There is also a parking area in front of the stalls that sell souvenirs but it would be better to park inside the gate. Beautiful site to have pictures taken. Washrooms available.

Was a long drive thru heavy traffic to see the ruins of a tiny church - got a headache from all the traffic polution only to arrive at a tourist site that took all of 2 minutes to explore.

From the park I had a perfect view to Mt. Mayon. Since it is located direct on the Pan Philipine Highway, it is a perfect spot to take some rest when you are travelling.

View on Mayon is beautiful from here - especially in the morning, when the volcano steps from the clouds and shows its beauty. Stey here overnight. There are two rooms available with two swimming pools :-) You can take a jeepney from the citycenter and walk about 500 meteres to the ruins. There is symbolic entry fee of 10 PHP.

We visited Cagsawa twice during our 2 days in Legazpi. The first time we went was in the aftrenoon and the volcano was not visible at all (literally nothing) because of the clouds. Still it was nice to walk around the ruins. Also the local craft stalls are very nice. We bought slippers (25PHP), purses (100-160PHP), placemats (130PHP), trivets (25PHP).... More
