Our guide took us to the Mount Popa resort for lunch, food was very nice. We have a great view of Mount Popa from the restaurant and many photos were taken. We were not to keen to climb up, it was not all the steps, it was the monkeys that we were not keen on.

Yes, steps are covered with dirt, monkey excretions and rubbish. But it wasn't really that bad, if you pick your steps wisely you could get around.
Views from the top were good but nothing fantastic (because all you see are trees and buildings so small)

read about the nats before going and make sure you have a guide

I'm glad we did Mt Popa. The drive there gives you a real glimpse of how the people live.
Have your driver stop by the Mt Popa Resort after seeing Mt Popa. It gives you a great view of the whole mountain. We had lunch there with a great view!

The temple is particularly famous for representing all 37...

I took a rather expensive taxi (100 USD for one morning and it was a wreck) that I met on the road in Bagan. The trip was nice and we stopped to see the traditional coconut grabbing my monkeys and thee and nuts...
