I had seen photos of this temple and was determined to visit....my expectations were well and trully exceeded as I stood in awe at the beauty of these Buddhas. Make sure you check out the enormous doors at the entrance!! Once agin, you walk through the markets to get to the actual temple, but the glimpses you see as the... More

I had always been in awe when first seeing pictures and videos of this particular temple mainly because of it's unique top. This architectural wonder is styled with a curvilinear top with grated perforations to it. Then in the center of each facing side, there are five Buddha images (going from the base up and big to small), seated on... More

The temple is layout in a Greek cross fashion. This is one of the most visited temples by tourists as well as local citizens. It is well maintained despite a few scars from fortune hunters peeling the art off the walls many years ago. More

We went here on the night of the festival. We were stopped by a family of 11, who were adamant that we took their photo, they all lined up from one end a child of about 3, to the other end grandma or great grandma. All covered in their makeup. Priceless. More

The architecture on this temple is stunning. You just go around it with your mouth wide open. So beautiful, and very easy to get to (you kinda can't miss it!) More

The design details of Ananda Temple are distinct and make it one of the more interesting temples to visit in Bagan. The 4 giant standing golden Buddha's were impressive as were the carved doors and built in niches. It's a great spot to wander around & photograph and also to climb for some incredible views. We also appreciated the temple... More

It inspired the meritorious temple-building of later rulers. Nanadamula cave in the Himalayas Go to see buddha in the south, the original, he looks angy but when you get closer you'll find... More
