be prepared to climb 417 steps and take darshan of shri ganesh and shiva . navagrah mandir is good too. the overall architecture and the rock cut temples are worth watching. go in the evening and you will enjoy the view and cool breeze. More

The temple is called Thiru Anai Kaval. This temple is dedicated to water which is one of the five elements. The temple is maintained well and is very clean. I think the temple is actually called Jambukesvara koil. Very old Siva temple with an unusual submerged Lingam under the Jambu tree. 7 magnificent gopurams. More

This is an ancient Shiva temple, located in the middle of the city. This is also very large and one has to walk a lot to reach the temples of Lord Shiva and Parvati Mata. Must see for all Shiva Devotees. More

This is one of the Panchabhoota stalams and it represents the element, water. Even today water is continuously coming out naturally from the floor in front of the Siva lingam. Thai temblae was built by King Chola1000 years ago. This temple represent for WATER ( among panchabutham ie water, air, fire,sky.land. ) The wonder of this temple is all the time , throught the year water will be coming below the LORD SHIVA. every one must see this woderful temple. More
