Even on a sunny day, Diaz Point can be extremely windy. It's quite amazing to think that the great explorer Bartolomeu Dias erected the stone bearing his name at Diaz Point in 1488. While the original Diaz Cross is no longer there, the point is marked with a marble replica, which makes for a good photo opportunity. Just be careful...
