Can't say it's a must see for the whole region, but if you are in Nerja it's only 5 mins away. Quite inspiring in some respects and can make you actually forget where in the world you are. Reasonably priced and generally worth a visit, will only last half a day at the very most. More

There are a lot of steps involved so don't go down into the caverns unless you are confident that you can manage getting back up. More

The caves situated not far from the town of Nerja are one of the world's natural wonders. A must see for anyone visiting the south of Spain. Wander through the vast cave system and look at Mother Nature's sculptured marvel shaped over millions of years More

Really enjoyed an unguided tour of these caves. Limited information in English but the amazing rock formations speak for themselves. I hadn't seen anything like it before and the scale of some of the stalactites and columns is astounding. One annoyance was making us line up for an unwanted photo on arrival and then trying to sell us the photo... More

From the outside the place looks quite mundane, and the tourist info does not make a big fuss about it, but the caves are really marvellous; huge and spectacular, by far the most interesting sight we saw on the south coast. Don't miss them. More

The caves were interesting and claim the largest column in the world (according to the Guinness Book of World Records). More

Saved this visit for a wet day. Unbelievable to think someone actually lived there all these years ago. I found myself looking at my feet and hanging onto the railings a lot in case I stumbled. Would have liked a guide or a commentary, even a map, to point out and describe more than we probably noticed. We were held... More

Go there, beuatiful. The walk was ok, but what we would really like to try is a music experience in the caves More

If you can manage steps make this trip. We went on local bus which was busy but fine. Gift shop and very nice restaurant on site and pretty gardens. Spectacular caves and colours. They will take your photo entering the caves. More

Went here on a rare rainy day in Nerja. Cost is 8.50 per person, but it is totally worth it. Once you get down into the caves, it is absolutely mind-blowing to think that these were formed over millions of years by dripping water. I went with 5 other people, and we were all very impressed. I have been to... More
