Visited castle in April 2012, is quite a tough uphill walk up to the entrance, you can walk up through the beautiful landscaped gardens & roman ruins towards the rear of castle or you can use the front entrance. A great old castle and lots of fun for everyone!! This commands a great view of the sea and the town and is a good cardiovascular workout as well!! More

I love visiting castles, this one had nothing. The walls were mostly rebuilt with nothing inside. A long walk, bitterly disappointed. More

Not really a castle, it is fort, but it is well preserved, well located and worth a visit. If you are older, take it slow, going up that hill seems like an adventure. I did not go inside a fort, they do charge a fee, and I normaly do not pay to see same walls from inside, I can for... More

The castle is OL k but like most old buildings in Spain including such as the Alhambra in Granada that are not art museums or miradores (old buildings converted to 3 4 star hotels by the government), there are no contents just the walls but festivals are often held there. More
