Onyx Cave is a short drive from Eureka Springs for those looking to scratch the spelunking bug. A self guided tour with headphones. I thought at first it might be a little uncomfortable, but once we got into the cave, it was barely noticable. 30 minutes long and informative.

Would visit again--not a huge cave, but really interesting. Lots of drippy stalagmites/stalactites (?) and underground water system. We were the only ones there when we visited and had the cave to ourselves. It's supposed to be a self-guided tour with audio headphones, but we didn't use them. It's 54 degrees all year long, so take a jacket. Was $7.50... More

I have a special place in my heart for this poor cave. As a caver and a member of the NSS, this cave had at one time the potential to be an awesome self-guided touring cave, but alas, it has been heavily damaged by folks who feel they have to touch everything they see. The tour is headphone guided on... More

The cave is exhausted. It's nearly dead. Over commercialized through the years. I love caves but not this one.

Fun cave experience. It seems that with each corner or section of this cave brought oohhs and ahhhs from the entire crowd. I took many pictures to remind myself of the amazing wonders that exist because of our Creator.

As much as I wanted to love it, I was a little disappointed. The owners, staff and giftshop were delightful, but the actual cave was disappointing. It's neat that they have a self guided tour, but it has just been over traveled. All of the natural moisture has dried up, I assume thanks to all of the hands touching everything... More

Owned and ran by a sweet old lady. This place is open year round. Been twice and still very interesting. No guide so you can set your own pace. Watch your head!

We saw a sign for the Onyx cave and decided to give it a try! It was so cool and very informative. The owner was very nice and made us feel at home. The cave is gorgeous and informative.
