Very well organized and great collection. Plus there is no charge to visit, and free parking as well.

This was my second trip to the museum, which opened 11-11-11 and some of the pictures had been moved and there were new ones to see. The museum has fantastic views of the outside from many of the galleries, with the outdoor sculptures and scenery as much a part of the display as the indoor art. The musuem has samples... More

Plan to spend the day, or even 2 if you plan to explore any of the trails. The setting is beautiful in the Spring - many flowers and flowering trees, and I imagine even better in Autumn when the whole of Northwest Arkansas is beautiful. The single negative thing about the place is the crowds. Otherwise, it is wonderful -... More

This is an art museum which may or may not put some people off coming to see it. If so then try to overcome your reluctance - this is just a beautiful place to visit. The building itself is stunning. There are a lot of great trails through the grounds which are also terrific. Some of the artwork we liked,... More

Plan to spend several hours at the Crystal Bridges Museum. This is truly a wonderful collection of American art. The museum is free. There seemed to be a lot of security guards in each room that made me feel a bit nervous and rushed however. Take time to stroll the many trails outside the museum. The grounds are lovely and... Our journey ended with a stroll through the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, built in 2005 by Alice Walton (of the WalMart family) and designed by legendary architect Moshe Safdie. The curvaceous contemporary museum takes its name from the nearby Crystal Spring. The museum’s collection features American masterworks dating from the Colonial era to contemporary times. The grounds include... More

It was nice to see art from only American artists. The museum structure is art itself. Make sure to get a map because it is a bit oddly laid out. You don't want to miss any of it.

This place is phenomenal. Just to see the structure itself is worth the trip. I have never had an emotional response to architecture before, but as we approached Crystal Bridges I literally started to cry. The collection itself is so interesting...I really enjoyed seeing the chronological collection of American art. Oh, and if you want an affordable but high quality... More

Spanning American art from colonial times to today. Something for everyone - I especially liked everything post WWII. Amazing buildings as well. And beautiful grounds & trails. Definitely suggest taking a walk orrun through the grounds with nice installations.

We had read that the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art was a great museum to visit. The museum far exceeded our expectations. From the stunning architecture to the wonderful art collection to the beautiful nature trails that surround the museum, it was a magnificent experience. We parked our car near the center square and made our way through the... More
