Great relaxing way to get to the Grand Canyon, with no hassles about driving and parking. We went in the first class car, and really enjoyed it. The only negative is that when you take the train and then the tour of the park on the shuttle included in the package, it only leaves you about 2 hours in the... More

We loved this train ride, which was fun and adventurous and very well organized. Service was excellent. We didn't like the constant , obvious solicitations for tips from strolling musicians, cowboys, multiple train robbers, and especially the hard sell from the very, very pushy and unfriendly professional photographer on board. Poor form. I actually started feeling a bit harassed by... More

Best choice we made on our trip to Arizona. Thought it might be a bit hokey, but if you know it going in you will love this! My mother and daughter both enjoyed it. If you really have no intention of hiking into the canyon, take train, relax, listen to the nice music, let the sweet ladies make you some... More

This was a lot of fun! My 2 year old son loves trains and I had never seen the Grand Canyon,we were both happy. My 19 year old son and my Mom had a good time as well. The staff is very helpful in giving suggestions on spending your time at the canyon. Entertainment is good with some surprises which... More

The trip on the Railroad, is worth the cost. Take the upgrade to First Class. Depot Staff and folks on the train know their stuff. Make sure you spend a lot of time taking in the Canyon on arrival, and not in the gift shops-which are very nice also. The Kachina has the best Native American gifts, go upstairs for... More

The adults only glass domed upper deck is the way to go! On our trip we saw a large herd of elk and a herd of antelope. They have great entertainment during the train ride and nice refreshments including adult beverages. My only regret is not staying overnight at the lodge before taking the train back to Williams.

After experiencing the congested roads and parking at the Grand Canyon in early March, I just knew that the train had to be the better option for our May trip. And I was right! We splurged and bought top of the line luxury parlor class tickets and yes, it was expensive but well worth it. Interesting people, big clean bathroom,... More

Great people and pleasant trip aboard the train. I would recommend to any age group. The staff is friendly and enjoy their work and working with each other. Very pleasant experience.

Yes it's expensive (unless you go in the regular coach), yes it can be cheesy but it's certainly great fun and as we'd already done lots of driving on a long road trip it was a great, relaxing way to get to the most amazing natural wonder on the planet. There is a cowboy show and shoot-out at the station... More

We had a great time on this, our first time visit to the Grand Canyon, we decided to do it in style and travelled in the panorama carriage. ( it was well worth the extra money ) Our hostess was very informative and entertaining, the free snacks and drinks were good and the view was great. The shoot out show... More
