Lts of trails to choose from .One mile short hikes to well over 10 miles. We have gone about 20 times over ten years and have never seen any rattlesnakes ,deer or anything but lizzards. Go early to stay cool and bring some water althougha quart an hour seems plenty. Only one year everything was in bloom . There is an... More

We took a morning trip up into the White Tank Mountains and had a great time. We met up with one of the volunteer guides for a 2 hour hike. Unfortunately it poured! Very rare. But after 30 minutes of hiding in a shelter the weather cleared up and we went out. The guide stayed well past the time and... More

Loved the trail leading into the waterfall. Also, plenty of restrooms and the park was so very clean! More

Several sandy trails to go up and through the mountains. The Waterfall Trail is a shorter self-guided trail that is paved quite a bit of the way. There is only going to be a waterfall at the end if it has been wet recently. There are some cool fossils and plants along the way. Watch out for the cactus! More

Staying at the Wigwam, this park is only about 20 minutes away. Nicely marked trails, worth a couple hours of your time before you hit the pools... Coming from the midwest, pretty cool to see the Desert habitat and the huge Cacti! Didn't see much except for a bunch of lizards. Has a nice little library/gift shop with some live... More

We hiked the Waddell /Ford Canyon trail with about 20 other hikers. Scenic hike with good views of the city of Phoenix. Some of us made it to the dam and turned around before it got too steep. The rest of the group continued to do the loop, approx 10 miles. After the hike, we relaxed in one of the... More

If you like to get out of the city and see nature, this is a great place for you! My dad and I had a few hours to kill one morning before seeing a baseball game, so we spent some time at White Tank. We hiked the waterfall trail and the short black rock trail. The waterfall trail took us... More

Well marked trails and a few information markers. Best to go to the waterfall after a rainfall or no waterfall. They do a good job of identifying flowers More

White Tank Mountain Regional Park offers a great day trip for anyone visiting the area. There are numerous trails offering a variety of vistas. Our favorite is the Waterfall trail that is about 1 mile along a nicely maintained dirt path up a gradual incline to the place called the Waterfall. We have yet to see water flowing over the... More
