The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The scale of the operation is amazing: the size of the haul trucks, the 24/7/365 schedule, and the pit depth.

The mine tour was thorough and well guided. The bus was comfortable and as a kicker, we saw a herd of wild horses. It was interesting, fun and educational.

We've visited an open pit copper mine before, so we didn't take the tour. If you are traveling nearby, it's worth the stop to see the mineral samples in the visitors center, see the film, and walk around the mining equipment parked outside.
