This peaceful wilderness area just 3 miles east of Prescott is perfect for a place to eat lunch, read a book, hike or rent a boat. There is a restaurant to eat or purchase items from from the retail shop. My Golden Retreiver loves the area and he loves the walks, on a leash of course. More

We wanted to stop and look at the lake for a few minutes but the fee to park was annoying. More

This is not a large lake but is located in pines. There is a $5.00 parking fee for day use. We will plan to visit again as campers. Good hiking trails. More

I was in my 20s last time I visited Lynx Lake and much has changed since then! More ammenities and a user fee. But I visited on Wednesday and was pleasantly surprised to discover that the fees are waived on that day of the week (although they are highly reasonable at only $5 regularly). Stopped by both the north and... More

This is a beautiful little lake with walking path around it. Take time to take a stroll. Known for home of eagles during nesting time as well as lots of other wildlife. More

I like to fish this lake, the restaurant there is also good. If you want to use your boat check out the restrictions on motor types and power. More

While spending two days in the Prescott area, we biked and hiked several areas. Lynx Lake was definitely the best hiking spot. There was a paved trail/sidewalk that meandered along the lake's western shore. It is wide and smooth enough for strollers and even wheelchairs. We hiked all the way around the lake so we also hiked the more "natural"... More

My wife and did a hiking trail that was partially in Lynx Lake recreation area. It was a beautiful hike. There was hardly anyone else around, probably because it was march. It was so peaceful and quite. More

A super place for picnics, kayaking, fishing and hiking. Lovely forest surrounds this clean, beautiful lake. Camping is available also. We always enjoy the days we spend here. More

The lake is very well established with piers and benches etc. We are seasoned campers and there was just a crazy amount of spiders at the campsites, I mean literally as soon as you put something down and turn around you will find some webs on it. For that fact we won't be camping there again but if in the... More
