Took the trail early in the morning and made a roundtrip of 8 miles. Parking was $2 and you could use the parking pass all day at different locations. The trails were well kept, wide, and easy to follow. At one point there was even a Porta-potty (was definitely a life-saver). The scenery is beautiful and we will definitely return.

This trails seems almost endless and is the flat and easy trail system in the Prescott area. You can access this trail from several parking areas, all of which are large enough to accommodate horse trailers. This is a very popular trail, and is multi use, so you will run into hikers, bikers and riders. The trail rules state that... More

We went here based on a friends recommendation. We were not disappointed! We walked along the jeep trail for a while and then got off the trail and climbed around the rocks for views of Watson Lake. GORGEOUS!!

beautiful, easy trail; you can walk a mile or 6-8 miles, each mile has different sights and feel. Went in cold snap during christmas season, all alone, beautiful, silent, patches of snow, meditative and spiritual.

What a treat just minutes from Prescott and downtown. Easy walk on an old railroad bed or, take one of several cutoffs to hike by the lake. This is a bit difficult, but well worth the effort. You are among the rocks and the views are wonderful. Parking at the base of the trail near the animal shelter cost $2.... More

We visit family in Prescott once or twice a year and always take in a walk on the Peavine Trail. It is completely level and well maintained. The scenery is stunning. The crags and the lake are so peaceful and beautiful. It is one of my favorite walks.

I've been biking recreationally and for exercise for years and just moved to the area. The Peavine and Iron King trails (out to Prescott Valley) are excellent locations to ride a smoothly maintained and moderate grade "old railroad track bed" type trail and the scenery is outstanding. The trail can get a bit muddy but it is canted so water... More

This trail is not only beautful (walking by Watson Lake and The Dells) but it's flat and easy, too. It works for anyone of any age and any hiking level. There are historical markers and benches, too. Don't miss it! $2 parking fee and well worth it.
