We have tubed the Salt River several times. The scenery is amazing from the drop off point to the first stop. I recommend getting out at the first stop rather than the last. The water just doesn't flow that fast so it makes for a long, hot day if you stay in for the entire duration. Even the kids were... More

The Salt River is a good time. Bring your friends. Cooler, snacks, sunscreen, hat & you're all set. Float your cares away. There is a fee for tube rental.

When it gets hot out this is the place to be. Has shuttle bus service to beginning of river and back to your car after you are done. Bring lots of water and sunscreen. Very reasonable prices. Start early in the morning and you can go down river 2 times.

Not for me, the water is extremely polluted with people's trash. Beer cans, etc. beware of floating debris. Water is chilly, even in the summer.

We had a fun time but here are some caveats and recommendations. Try to pick a non-holiday weekend to limit the crowds and start early. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses and maybe a hat too. Don't bring anything valuable and remember a Ziploc bag for wallets and keys. The river water will most likely be very cold, fairly murky/muddy and probably have... More

Spend the day on the river with friends. Always a GREAT time This is still our kids favorite thing to do when they come home to visit. My brother STILL talks about what a great time he had even after 5 years! FYI - if you drink - you will need a DD! ZERO TOLERANCE

Tubing is fun as long as you are prepared....lots of waterproof sunscreen, some beer in cans, twice as much water (think gallons.) No glass.....Memorial day weekend is so busy that you can literally walk from one side of the river to the other on tubes. Choose another weekend to go with less crowds and you might be happier. All in... More

There is so much trash in the river from those darn yuppies that throw their trash into the river and don't take it out.
