This is a very small mine with only 10 miners, that work on a sustainable idea of mining. Is not surviving thought, they have reasonably good work to show. Due to the taxing system in place in Argentina, they do not go deeper to get diamonds and other stones, so they stay close to the surface. They even blow the... More

If you have extra time in Iguazu, go ahead and visit the Mines. Nice place to get wind chimes (angels callers) for friends and family for only 10 pesos ($2.50 US). Store attendants are very aggressive and store security makes you fell like you are going to steel something. We arrived at the airport around 9 am and got a... More

Muy interesante la visita adentro de las minas. El personal que te guia es muy amable. Es interesante visitar el museo indigena que se encuentra en una de las minas con los personajes mitológicos guaraníes. More

Interesting and enjoyable visit with a well informed helpful guide. Learned a little bit about quartz formation and mining. No need to return for a second visit. More

Nice place. It is a very interesting experience and worth a visit. Just for a couple of hours, no more than that. But is an interesting option in the area. More

Small and uninteresting mine. Tour was short and given by an uninspiring guide. Tour drops you into their shop to buy semi-precious gems. More

I enjoyed my visit to the Wanda mines. There are tons of mines with semi-precious stones in the triple-border or "Triple Frontera" among Paraguay, Brasil and Argentina (because of geological reasons) but Wanda is the closest to Puerto Iguazu, Argentina (43 km/27 miles) The most of the tours to San Ignacio ruins will transport you to there. But if you... More
