We thought we had enough time, but to really enjoy it and not be rushed, take more time than what we were told (two hours) to climb all the way to the top!

A much easier hike than Table Mtn, with great views! The top portion with the chains and hand holds was a nice change from the gradual hill in the beginning and also gave you some security on the way up, especially when the winds pick up!

The lion's head seen from the top of the table mountain is beautiful, but it is even better to see it and stop for a picture or two on your way to Cape of Good Hope. The view is just stunning! Best time is around 16.00 hour, before sundowner.

Wonderful views of the city and table top mountain. This is the place to come if you want life changing sunsets. Give yourself an hour to climb and then watch the sunset. It can be very windy up there so take a jacket and a touch since after the sunset it gets dark and very dangerous on the hike down.

Lion's Head is surely the place to be if you're after a stunning view of Table Mountain. The hike to the top take about an hour, less if you're really fit, and more if you stop en route to admire the ever-changing scenery. From one point you are graced with uninterrupted views of coast, mountain, and city! There are two... More

This is a relatively easy hike right in the city. If you're reasonably fit, there's no reason why you can't do this hike. The first part is very easy to navigate -- just follow the jeep track and then the path. The problem comes when you get up to the chains. If you don't want to climb the chains, then... More

Easy accessible for young and old - but a bit exposed close to the top. Extraordinary beautiful views. An abslolute must to hike up there for everyone visiting Cape Town.
