Tours leave every 10 min (approx) and take about 30 minutes. The caves have some amazing formations including stalactites, stalagmites, flow stones and pre cambrian fossils. The most famous formation is the Screaming Monster. This is actually a stalactite that has joined with a stalagmite and has formed a column that is 200 million years old. « less

Loved it! Let the fishies suck and chew your feet after the cave walk. Dinosaur park well laid out and great for kids. The setup at Sudwala is well worth the trip. More

A most amazing place to visit. The guided tours into the caves last about a hour. The guides are very knowledgeable and ours had a very good sense of humor too! The restroom facilities are clean and the restaurant/tuck-shop very nice. There are interesting curios for sale as well. Park at the top level parking, otherwise you will have quite... More

The tour guide takes you on a 45 min tour of the caves explaining the different rock formations and using lights to show various images within the rock , it's quite humid so wear lose light clothing and ensure you have... Thank you for your review your feedback is important to us. We don't feel the Sudwala Caves is off the beaten track. Its located 8km from the N4 on a well maintained tarred road. Our guests can drive directly to the ample car park approx. 100 meters from the cave entrance. I am sorry to hear the toilet facilities were... More

Thank you for your review we appreciate the feedback. The Sudwala Caves are approx 35km from Nelspruit, about 30 minutes drive on the N4. Our guides are chosen from a wide variety of ethnic groups and all speak good english. The african accent is to be expected but we note the difficulties you encountered and will do what we can... One of the attractions to visit in Mpumalanga, South Africa is the Sudwala Caves in the small town of Sabie. It is on the route to the Kruger National Park. The road from the entrance to the caves is long and steep. The walk up to the ticket office is equally challenging. The ticket are reasonably priced. After joining a... More

Thank you for your cave review we really apprieciate the feed back and are working hard to make the caves a great experience for all our guests. I am sorry you had poor service at the restaurant. Unfortunately we have no control over the quality of service at any of the outlets (except the shop directly outside the cave entrance)... More

Good guides, very interesting. A bit chilly inside so do carry a light jacket. Kids enjoyed carrying their own flash lights, felt like explorers! Doesn’t take longer than half an hour to complete. More
