I don't know if I would consider this a "must-see" for a visit to Durban, but I really enjoyed it and would certainly return. We are not Hindu but we were made to feel so welcome in Temple. We were included in the service. Food served was excellent and architecture of temple was breathtaking More

This temple has such a calm and peaceful atmosphere, that it releases all my worries and tension, I feel light and I could really feel the inner peace. It's like you're meditating with your eyes open. More

The temple itself is perhaps a bit bling. Not to worry. The atmosphere is soooo calm and peaceful. I recommend it for a good thinking and meditation. The food is superb, delicious; true Indian cuisine, vegetarian. The best! More

Recommend you book for the guided tour and eat afterwards in the vegetarian restaurant if you like Indian food. More

The Hare Krishna Temple in Chatsworth is one of the most visited attractions in Durban. It is said to be the largest Hare Krishna temple in Africa. The temple is situated in a area where almost 100 000 indians live. The TEMPLE also provides more than one thousand meals to the poor and destitute of the city . More

Nice short trip from central Durban, great cultural experience. The biggest draw card is the vegetarian restaurant. A huge selection of vegetarian dishes, and nicely priced. Worth the drive… More
