Nothing is open when I take a drive through there on Sundays. I enjoy the drive and have made it a few times. When I host international couchsurfers, bicylers and exchange students I always send them there with their camera. It shows you how many of us live out here in Arizona away from town. The road is rough but... More

I drove this road in our motorhome and I will have to say that it's is nerve racking when the side of your motorhome is hanging over the drop offs and you can't negotiate the hairpin turns without taking the whole road. But the views are awesome and Oatman is one of my favorite places for fun and get the... More

Beautiful winding roads through the mountains. Take your time. Stop at Oatman to feed the donkeys and do some light tourist shopping. They sell carrots and feed bricks for $1. Kids will really enjoy!

This is quite possibly my favorite portion of Route 66. It's a beautiful area with great rock formations and desert plants. And if you're really lucky you'll see some of the famous wild donkey's. Oatman is a quaint touristy town that is definitely worth a visit. Lots of souvenirs and assorted stuff and junk. Carol Lombard and Cary Grant stayed... More

I got my kicks on Traveling Route 66 from Kingman to Oatman. However the road from Seligman to Kingman was absolutely outstanding with the scenery and experiencing old building and towns along the Mother Road. The town of Kingman is the heat of Route 66 and its history with this being the place were in 1883 the first train pulled... More

One of the reasons we visited Oatman AZ was to drive this pass. We drove from west to east and that leaves you on the inside of the road. We have been on white knuckle drives (Apache Junction to Rosevelt Lake as a great example) before and this one was only a little white knuckle in a few spots (because... More

Route 66 to Oatman. A wonderful drive along winding roads through the mountains. Not to be missed. Apart from a single biker on a Hog, the road was empty.

What a beautiful drive. So many sights to see. Prior reviews suggested travelling east is best for passenger, they were right on!!! There are some really sharp turns, rocks on road, so need to be alert. The town of oatman is awesome!!! Mules coming running to you to be hand fed,$1.00 a bag can be bought at stores to do... More
