I love walking in the gardens, and my friends and i often take dogs walking in thedog permisseable part of the gardens. The water dams not only add to the beauty but great fun to see so many dogs swimming and meeting each other!.

Great for an afternoon picnic with mates and a chance to let the hound run free. Lots of open spaces for a bit of social cricket or a kick around.

With Johannesburg boasting to be the largest man-made forest in the world, this area is certainly living up to the reputation. It is quiet, well-kept and has an abundance of flora to keep all the botanists very happy. There is enough space to relax with your family and it is very accessible from all areas of Gauteng province. Money well... More

Such a beatuiful place at the best of times and even nicer in Autumn when the leaves are turning. Our children love it to feed the ducks and watch the wedding photographs on the weekend. The fountains and rose gardens are one of our favourite spots, as is the shakespeares garden. Highly recommended.

The weather contributes to the fantastic experience. Lovely atmosphere and family environment. Worth bringing a picnic basket and a ball or family games. Fabulous for an afternoon walk in the park. I will be back often :)

I enjoyed visiting the botanical garden however I've been to nicer ones in the past. It is still worth visiting though and I would recommend it for picknicks and lazing around under the trees.

I walk here almost every day with my dogs. It's a good place to walk with plenty of pathways and tracks to utilise, and generally plenty people make use of the facilities. It's generally quite well kept but may take a few days to clean up after events. People tend to drop food (particularly chicken bones) when they picnic even... More

Clean fresh air that is all a person needs and the bonus is that you are surrounded by beauty, you can walk and walk, but when you stop you can just sit wherever you want.
