We were taken to this very informative village on the outskirts of Johannesburg. 5 different African villages are set up with how the local people line, along with the people and the way they dress. There is a welcome talk, which is very well done, then you walk through with a guide. They tell you about each village, and the cultural differences between them.... More

Our guide, Pierre from Bush Baby Safaris, arranged to take us there after a day in Johannesburg and Soweto. The rooms are really more cabins - very nice, ours was very large and very clean. This was a good way to get a concentrated dose of information about the tribes including architecture and dress. The show in the boma was... More

Our family of four (two teenagers) visited the Lesedi Cultural Village north of Johannesburg and had a delightful time. The staff were extremely friendly and very focused on educating the visitors about multiple tribal cultures of South Africa. Sights included Zulu, Pedi, Basotho, Xhosa, and Ndebele homesteads. The buffet in the restaurant was very good as well. The crafts sold... More

The Tour guides take you inside the African Villages where you will experience the "Language and food" of the original Tribes of South Africa. The Tour also introduces you to the modern South Africa. To Top it up you are... More

I took my boyfriend to SA for the first time and this was the best place for both of us to learn about the many cultures of south africa. We done a self drive around south africa and Lesedi was nice and easy to find with the sat-nav. We were given a warm welcome as soon as we parked the... More

This is the place if you want to sleep in a zulu hut. Or another tribe for that matter. Different tribes are represented by clusters of perhaps 8 huts arranged like small villages. The main lodge has amazing paintings on all of the walls wtih scenes of african life. Entertainment is a dance/dinner show featuring unspectacular food and performers dressed... More
