Worth a visit! We visited the gardens on an island tour and it was very pretty! We saw lots of pretty corals and sting rays. I would not go out of my way to d this, but it was a nice stop on the island tour.

My wife and I have been SCUBA divers for a while, and we both agreed that the quality of snorkeling here rivaled many of the dives that we've been on. Clear water with a calm surface, a huge variety of marine life and healthy corals make this an amazing spot. Try to combine this with a shark and ray feeding,...

I went here for my first dive ever. Not as many fish as back at our hotel (Bora Bora Pearl Resort), but we did see an eel and a manta ray!! Great spot for a beginner, not too deep and lots of stuff to see.
Don't miss the coral gardens if you love snorkeling and a good selectionnof tropical fish, large and small. Blue and purple lipped clams are beautiful and plentiful. Just off the coast of the Sofitel private Island Resort.
This was my husbands first time snorkeling, plenty of fish...every color. If you buy fish food and use it, they swarm around you, an incredible experience!
The water at the Coral Gardens is the clearest and bluest I have seen anywhere in the world. The amount of fish is incredible! Bring a baguette with you as even the fish can't resist a good baguette. Also, bring your GoPro so you can video underwater in amazing clarity.
It´s always fun to snorkel, but due to too much exploitation it wasn´t the best at Bora-Bora, still we could see moreys and colorful corals. At least it is easy for those not so good in swimming nor comfortable between corals.
Not very exciting for the seasoned diver but a nice, pleasant snorkeling experience to see sharks, rays and some marine life.
The coral gardens are an absolute must see! The formations are large and cover a big area, even with other snorkelers I never felt crowded. The fish are very plentiful and we saw species here that we didn't see elsewhere- including a large octopus! Really beautiful spot- we joked that any future snorkel trip will never compare to this.
Great snorkel spot. It's right next to the Sofitel Island. We stayed at Inter Continental La Moana and were able to kayak here in 20 minutes. Lots of beautiful fish. Bring some baguette to feed them and they will follow you around.
Do go in early morning if you can. One day I went at 7.30am and saw more fish...
