We had a trekking tour with Sapa sisters guide - very nice girl Ly! Thanks to her, we could experience real, not tourist side of Sapa and surrounding villages. We had 15 km trek, where we met no tourists, only few in final destinations -villages. It was a great day with our wonderful guide Ly, who told us a lot... More

We trekked with Sapa Sisters based on recommendations from fellow travelers. It is a local tour company that provides job opportunities for local Black Hmong women. We paid our guide, Lan, directly so there was no question as to where the money went. You can also pay an extra $10 to get picked up from the train station (it is... More

Our Sapa Sisters trek was excellent in a number of respects. Fantastic cultural immersion. Great accommodation. However our guide was rather limited in her English and didn't really have her finger on the pulse of cultural and environmental events happening around her. She seemed oblivious to the great dams projects that are happening in her valley. However her deficiencies were... More

We recently went on a 3 days trek with Sapa Sisters with Giang Thi Tung as our guide. The terraced Sapa rice fields and general mountain scenery was beautiful and very much the highlight of our stay in Vietnam. We stayed in 2 rest houses during the trek and Tung doubled up as our cook. She is an excellent cook... More

My partner and I did a trek with Zao yesterday and I did another trek on my own today as my partner was bed ridden. Zao was a great guide and was very friendly and spoke excellent English! I really enjoyed bith treks. I would highly recommend doing a tour with Sapa Sisters and in particular Zao!! The treks were... More

My husband, 16 yo daughter and myself took the tow day one night trek. We met our guide and instantly got on. She also offered us the easy or hard, so we took the hard trail. It was quite slippery and wet as it had been raining quite a bit, and the view was difficult to see as there was... More

My wife and I booked a full day trek with Sapa Sisters. I arranged the trek through e-mail. Whomever I was communicating with (messages were always signed "Sapa Sisters", never with a name) indicated that we could customize the hike with our guide to take us "outside the main tourist route". We do a lot of hiking, so I was... More

We hiked one day with a guide from the sapa sisters and it was a great experience. Our guide mau was fun and carried a really cute baby. You really learn things about the local community and go to places that you would probably not find on your own. We chose a 1day hike and felt like that was a... More

Lan was our guide. She was amazing, well informed, energetic, understanding. We could not have had a better guide. I am 74 and was traveling with my 46 year old daughter and 13 year old Grandson so we were a good mixture. Lan was such a fun person and had us laughing a lot. We all enjoyed our experience and... We really enjoyed our trek with Sapa Sisters. They met us at our hotel around 9am. From there we walked to the guest house (in town) to have a look at a map and talk about what we would see that day. Our guide was a Black Hmong woman about 20 years old with perfect English. The only problem was... More
